On-Device Data
All data created by Scatter is stored locally on your phone. This includes:
Scan Data
TSDF volumes, point clouds, and raw scan sessions stored in app-private storage.
Exported Files
PLY, OBJ, STL, GLB meshes and cinema-mode videos saved to your device storage.
App Settings
Preferences like scan resolution and export format stored in app preferences.
Project Files
.scatter project files that let you resume or re-export previous scans.
How to Delete
You have two options to delete all Scatter data from your device:
Uninstall the App
Uninstalling Scatter removes the app and all app-private data (scans, projects, settings). Exported files you saved to shared storage (Downloads, etc.) are not removed automatically.
Clear App Data
Go to Android Settings → Apps → Scatter → Storage → Clear Data. This removes all scan data and resets the app without uninstalling.
What We Don't Have
Scatter has no server-side data to delete because we never collect any. There are no cloud copies of your scans, no backups on our servers, no account data, and no usage logs. When you delete the app or clear its data, the deletion is complete.
