What Scatter Does
Scatter is a 3D scanning app for Android. It uses your phone's depth sensor and camera to capture 3D geometry in real time using TSDF voxel fusion and ICP tracking. Marching cubes extracts a triangle mesh from the volume.
All processing happens entirely on your device. No frames, depth data, meshes, or scan files are ever uploaded to any server. The app works fully offline.
Data We Don't Collect
Scatter does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:
No Accounts
No sign-up, no login, no email address, no password. The app works without any identity.
No Analytics
No usage analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry. We do not know how often you use the app or what you scan.
No Network Requests
The app makes no network calls. Your scans, meshes, and exported files stay on your device.
No Device Fingerprinting
We do not collect device IDs, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, or hardware information.
Google Play
Scatter is distributed via Google Play. If you purchase the Pro upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Google. We receive a confirmation that a purchase was made, but we do not see your payment details, billing address, or Google account information.
Google Play has its own privacy policy that governs how Google handles your data during the purchase process.
Website
The Scatter website (scatter-studio.com) is a static landing page. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or any form of user tracking. No data is collected from visitors.
